Caboose on Whitewater · Events, Film & Photo Shoots, Parties, Unique Stays · Hot Tub
The Boise Jewell is a fully restored 1962 Union Pacific red caboose set on 40 feet of original railroad track in Boise's West End. A one-of-a-kind backdrop for events, film and photo shoots, parties, and unique overnight stays.
The caboose. Queen bed in the cupola, 2 twin beds in the main car, small parlor sitting area. The caboose itself is rustic and intentionally unplugged. No electricity running through it. Highly photogenic, inside and out.
What comes with it. Just steps from the caboose, guests have full access to Riverwalk Cottage. A 2 bedroom / 2 bath home with full kitchen, laundry, and a private hot tub. All the modern niceties next door to the train car.
Built for production. A fenced parcel that supports staging and gathering. Capacity for events up to 60 standing or 30 sitting. Filming and photo shoots welcome. External catering allowed. Music and PA system available. Bring your own DJ.
The name. Janae's Great Grandpa Jewell worked the railroads and brought his family to Jerome, Idaho. The Boise Jewell is an ode to him.
The Boise Jewell is built for more than an overnight stay. We host weddings and elopements, film and photo productions, parties, branded events, and creative shoots. We also welcome unique overnight stays. Tell us what you have in mind and we will work with you on the details.
